Forty years ago this week Epic Records released the first duet album by Tammy Wynette and George Jones, We Go Together.
Recorded on and off during 1971, the album was Jones’ first Epic release after leaving Musicor Records. Released on November 13, 1971, the album would peak at #3 on the country album charts.
Interestingly, it was the only one of their duet albums in which Wynette was given top billing.
